Ari Graynor Completes Broadway Cast of The Little Dog Laughed

Ari Graynor will play Ellen in the forthcoming Broadway production The Little Dog Laughed. Graynor, who replaces Zoe Lister-Jones, completes the cast of Douglas Carter Beane's comedy, joining original stars Julie White and Johnny Galecki and previously announced addition Tom Everett Scott. Previews begin at the Cort Theatre on October 26, directed by Scott Ellis.

Graynor made her Broadway debut in Brooklyn Boy, for which she received the 2005 Clarence Derwent Award for Most Promising Female Performer. Last season, she played Marcy in the off-Broadway production of Dog Sees God. Other theater credits include Spanish Girl at the Second Stage, Fall and Into the Woods at Trinity Rep and Ah, Wilderness! at Huntington Theatre. Her film credits include Mystic River, Book of Love, Bereft, The Great New Wonderful, Game 6 and the forthcoming releases For Your Consideration, Turn the River and An American Crime, opposite Catherine Keener. TV credits include The Sopranos as Meadow's roommate and Law & Order: SVU.

The players in Beane's biting Hollywood farce include a screen idol hiding in the closet Scott, an ambitious male prostitute Galecki, his naïve girlfriend Graynor and a brash, driven Hollywood agent who can spin anyone and anything White.

The Broadway production of The Little Dog Laughed is schedule to officially open on November 13.
